Appearance: 

Dark Golden retriever is also called Field Golden Retriever or American Golden type retriever because of their great abilities in hunting working dogs. Their physique is more compact and leaner. a thicker skin on the back, shoulders and chest make them less sensitive to abrasions than the traditional blond Golden Retriever.

The dark red color can range from a deep rust to a bright vibrant red. Their coat still thick and lustrous, though slightly shorter and thinner and the tail is less feathered. This large dog breed is powerful with an athletic build.

Temperament:

Fun-loving, smart, loyal and devoted are some of the qualities that make this breed so lovable. Gentle and trustworthy, expressive faces and caring. Very intelligent, making them one of the best trainable breed. Because of their intelligence and high level of energy, they are looking to be stimulate mentally  and make sure that they have an active daily life. If you respect their needs they will give you the best of them. 

No needs to yell should be needed, they will learn in a positive and consistent environment. Yelling at them will scare them and you will loose their trust.

Our dogs have the potential to learn and be good at hunting, agility , therapy, canicross , and still be the best companion for you and your family. At the end of the day, he'll be there sleep at your feet and fully accomplish. 

If you have serious interest about our dogs, we’ll ask you to fill up the Application form, ( Currently closed)  We reserve ourselves the right to make sure that our dogs is the perfect fit for your family or to refuse the placement of a puppy if we feel at anytime that this is not the best interest of the puppy. A phone call will be done after receiving the application form to discuss more about the whole process and to look further into the different questions.  Also a visit can be scheduled to meet our dogs in person for a better idea of their personality and lifestyle.  We love to share those moments with you. 

We ask a deposit of 400$ to reserve a dog and being on the waiting list. The deposit will go to the purchase prize but will be forfeited if you back out. We’ll respect the order on the waiting list for the first pick and the list goes on. Goldenwoods reserve the right to hold back first pick male or female from any litter at any time for any reason. PRICE may be subject to change for justifiable reasons.

Our pups are born in our house and we’ll stay here until they are ready for their new homes and family. They’ll get all attention, all essential and needed love to give them the best start in life possible. We do early neurological stimulation, regular base weight checks.  When time comes, we’ll expose them to a variety of sounds, objects, outdoor playtime, meet our friendly animals on our hobby farm and meet new people. Each of them will get one or two car rides to prepare them for their first ride home. We are following The puppy culture program to raise our puppies to make sure they will have everything they need during thier first stage of life multiplied by so much love.

During their weeks spent to our place,  you’ll receive pictures or and videos to share with your family. 

• They will go home after a visit to the vet, dewormed, first vaccines, micro-chipped
• They’ll go home with a piece of their maman' s blanket, the smell will secure them
• They will receive a welcome package from Purina Proplan 
• Paper agreement with a non-breeding contract to sign up
• Within the next 6 months, you will receive the CKC Purebred dog certificate of registration.
